Daily Tours - Hvar
Mljet / Korčula – full day
Two magnificent islands in one day!
These two islands are so close to each other yet so completely different.
The island of Mljet is almost completely covered with a thick forest and is certainly a paradise for those who enjoy untouched nature and absolute tranquility.
The main attractions are two saltwater lakes - enjoy a boat ride on the larger one and visit the small island of St. Mary with the Benedictine monastery from the 12th century. This part of the island is today a National park.
There will be time for swimming, strolling around the lakes or having lunch in one of the charming local restaurants.
The island of Korcula on the other hand offers something different - splendid historical and cultural monuments. The island is a mixture of various European civilizations: Illyrian, Greek, Roman and Venetian.
Most of the monuments are concentrated in the old town built on a small peninsula where everything is within walking distance. The town is dominated by the 14th century cathedral of St. Mark.
On Korcula you will have time at leisure for individual exploration.
