Island tour (Jelsa) – full day
After a pleasant drive through vineyards and olive groves we arrive to Stari Grad, one of the oldest towns on the coast, founded already by the Greeks in the 4th century. After a short sightseeing, which includes a visit to the Dominican monastery, we continue the drive to the town of Hvar. Hvar is an open-air museum. We will visit the cathedral of St. Stephen, the patron saint of the town, as well as the oldest Community Theatre in Europe from the 17th century. The sightseeing will be rounded of with a visit to the Franciscan Monastery.
After the guided tour enjoy some free time for individual sightseeing or maybe lunch.
On the return to Jelsa we will stop in one of the many small villages and taste some excellent local wine in a typical wine cellar.
